Located in the village of Corujeira, this church dates from at least 1549. Belonged to the most prominent family of Alguber, the “Fialhos”, from the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th century. We emphasize the image of Nossa Senhora das Candeias, placed in the main altarpiece, made of polychrome stone; the back is not carved, datable from the 16th century and assumed to be a representation of the milk virgin.

Tem a sua origem pelo menos no ano de 1549, tendo sido erguida para albergar a imagem de Nossa Senhora das Candeias, que segundo a tradição terá aparecido a uma pobre pastora no ano de 1547 no meio do Tojal, local onde hoje se encontra a ermida.

Pertence atualmente à paróquia de Alguber, tendo sido até ao final do século XX propriedade da mais importante família de Alguber “Os Fialhos”.

Como elementos de interesse destaca-se a imagem de Nossa Senhora das Candeias, em pedra (seixo).
