CHURCH OF DIVINO ESPÍRITO SANTO, PAINHO
The church of Divino Espirito Santo is located in Painho.
This parish is at the easternmost extremity of the Municipality at a distance of 12,4km from its headquarters (town of Cadaval).
This church was ordered to be built by father Manuel de Almeida, where later he was buried in 1671.
Oddly, the construction of this church started in 1630, but it was only finished in 1764. As for its existent patrimony, we highlight an image of São José, 89 centimeters tall, in polychrome wood and upholstered, from the 18th century. The image is not represented with the Child, but only with a bunch of white lilies.
