The oral tradition of the county is full of stories and beliefs.
One of the most distinctive is the deep belief that the mountain is hollow and that the sea enters her inside, which gave rise to many legends, for example, the one that says that the lake next to the quarter hasn’t bottom and therefore never dries.
Also exist legends about enchanted Moorish, and they say that these creatures inhabit the mountains for centuries, in the caves and grottos, and offering gold in exchange for milk donations.
In addition to the above, it should be noted the belief in the existence of werewolves and ominous animals, as well as the belief that there are hidden treasures in the mountains.
Finally, it cannot fail to be mentioned the fact that, these days, the Serra de Montejunto is considered by many the "Mother Mountain" sacred and sanctuary to hunting and pastors.
